MEDICINE HAT, AB-This is the busiest time of the year in the Arctic, but the big man in the red suit is still making time for the children in our community.

On Sunday and today, people found Santa Claus himself in Kin Coulee Park.

He parked his sleigh near the main entrance of the park. So far, he has met with more than a dozen children. They posed in photos provided by A-Rose Photography and listened to Christmas blessings.

"We want to bring joy to everyone in Medicine Hat," Santa said. "This is a great town. I like to be here every year. Every child sees their smiles and brings me great joy."

"Their smiles are so brilliant that the tooth fairy will be happy to see them, and their eyes will shine. It was great to see me in Medicine Hat."

He said he had heard about monster trucks, other vehicles and pet requirements from children, but he said, "Sometimes this is something that parents have to prepare for them."

Santa Claus must return to his studio today, but will return to Kin Coulee Park with A-Rose Photography Company from 11 am to 3 pm on Friday and Saturday.

The price of the photo is $25 or $20, and a non-perishable food donation is provided to the Medicine Hat Cares Society.

Medicine Hat Shopping Center does not host Santa Claus experience events as in previous years, but provides virtual tours. A post on the mall’s Facebook page stated that there will be an outdoor Santa Claus experience on December 18th, allowing children to see Santa Claus from a distance.

Santa also plans to go to HomeStay Inn & Suites for breakfast at 9 am on Saturday, and take photos with pets at Moose & Squirrel on Second Street in the city center at noon on Sunday.

Other planned Santa visits can be found on Facebook.
